Hi,  My week of keeping a record.  Sun Mon and Tues recently have been very noisy days...........Loud humming, I think it's hydraulics.......rumbling or thundering.......a thud, pounding sound....the air seems to vibrate.....

It's like being under water next to big machinery...very unpleasant.... drove me to despair over a year ago..somehow managing though..... neutral Does anyone else have these sorts of noises?

My God,  this is the time you need an officer from U U to be in your house....

can you ring or e-mail...if there serious about resolution I think you have the right to ask them to call in for witnessing what there causing.....

I used to find some relief by turning on my heating system....which is gas fired and noisy but preferable to being driven mental hmm

As soon as I saw your first post, I thought infra sound, and with the sort of wavelengths involved they can travel quite a way.  Most generic sound recording equipment won't pick it up (and you certainly can't generate that sort of thing on a set of home speakers either).  It can often cause a sense of dread, occasionally cause people to see things that aren't there, and so on. It certainly has an effect on people. Glad you're getting somewhere with it though.

I suspect my test is being sabotaged.   One piece of equipment which makes a very loud noise, but is not usually on all the time....is.......terrible vibration coming up through the ground which causes pain in my ears...not usual at this time of day, or could it be a test within a test!..............  people suffer endlessly with this type of noise.......and you know who get away with it.........

Well............I have just typed up and emailed my noise diary for last week..   I hope they are able to make some sense of it...I know what I meant when I was writing it all down.... neutral

I hope they TRY to make something of it.......The noise has been terrible recently....It's always at the back of my mind that they could just be stringing me along!

At lunchtime had very loud noise and the usual vibration.........but now only faint noise and I can't feel any vibration......for the first time in nearly a year.

Hi,  I have had an acknowledgement and they have said it will take a few days to compare my diary with their telemetry.......

I hope this brings forth a change....... If nothing positive happens I will employ a noise specialist to come and ascertain the source, however much it costs, a relative has offered help.

Thank you Pandora, for the suggestion, I havn't done it yet... wink I think they have looked at my diary and noted I am often out around now.......and have put the loud equipment on now instead of in the evening.......

It's very noisy and the vibration is battering my ears...I hope it is an interim measure while they are working out what they can do....

I'm editing this at 9pm and it's still horrendous.....I take it back about looking at my diary.
