Topic: neighbour banging on wall

my neighbours moved in end of last year, they were quiet at first, then february this year they started banging the wall almost every time my dog would bark.  My dog on the whole only barks at the usual things like postman, binmen, doorbell, excitement going for a walk, or if he hears noise from neighbours' dogs barking behind our house.   we tend not to leave him on his own in the house unless absolutely neccessary and then only ffor short times 1 - 2 hours max.  When they bang on the wall its not just one bang its about 6 -8 bangs one after the other as though they have something heavy hitting the wall.  Just lately its also happening if we play any music (not loud, and during the day) but they play their music really loud, like 10.30pm . Recently my son went out to walk the dog, as he got to the end of our drive the neighbour pulled off theirs reversing at speed, revved up the engine, sent the back wheels into a wheel spin, sending grit stone and a cloud of dust into my son and our dog and stuck up her fingers at him.  All what is happening is making us stressed and unhappy so if anybody has any advice for me it will be gratefully received.

Re: neighbour banging on wall

Difficult, jessica. These people seem to want to get a step ahead of you. The behaviour towards your son, though, is totally unacceptable.  Would it be possible, do you think, to have a quiet word with them, as to what their problem is? Maybe you could ask them if they find the dog's bark too much, or even your music. If they REALLY feel that you are making too much noise, or they won't talk reasonably to you, then consider contacting your local Environmental health Dept, just for advice in the first instance.
