Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

When we first complained we were given both the excuses that "it's not anti social it is domestic noise" It is not anti social its conflicting life styles"  We pointed out that according to their tenancy terms and conditions laminate is not allowed, washing machines, hoovers etc should not be used late at night, + quoted all the other ways she contrevenes her tenacy, still nothing has been done.  We will not give up, we are in the right and have now provided proof that there is late night noise, they will drag their feet i actually doing something about it but but you have to keep on at them, they have a duty to act.

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Sue I couldnt agree more. I feel like I have been bashing my head against the council wall for 18 months now. and still the wall doesnt shift. my neighbours have broken most of their tenancy agreements. this has been witnessed by the council but still they dont act on it.

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

today's update......despite the fact I took another bad fall at weekend trying to find which room was the quietest accompanied by bad chest pains that were very scary on there own, I got the bog standard automated email today.  My carer emailed them as she found me on the floor and she hasn't had a response at all.  Not even received a phone call from the community safety team just to see if I'm in one piece.  That just about says everything.

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

oh dawn thats terrible. big hugs hun. idiots just dont care. makes my blood boil

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Thanks Joanna, even my friend is appalled.  If I end up in hospital they might take things seriously.  Sorry for having a moan

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

no need to apologise. my nn threatening me wasnt enough but maybe of he had stabbed me council may have taken some notice!!

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

It really is appalling and there are so many of us going through exactly the same thing

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

its disgusting that the support thats there to help is isnt helping!!!! I have told the council I will stand up in court and swear on oath that I am telling the truth but it seems my neighbours can do no wrong. they dont turn up for 2 mediation sessions, she doesnt let council in to inspect property, she denies her bf hits her even though I have heard him throwing things and her crying as he hits her and she says she only has 1 dog who is always on a lead and doesnt foul on communal grass, and its never had puppies, even though its had 2 litters and now they have another puppy. all of which I have photos of...makes no difference as I am apparently a liar.

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Oh and they are ohhhh soooo truthful.  We actually proved our NFH tells lies on more than one occassion and still we get told "well she say's she did'nt do that" Well she would wouldnt she.... she's hardly likely to say "yes of course I did that".  What is even worse than them believing her though is that each time they do speak to her she makes allegations about us (unfounded) and they call us to say she has complained about us! Yes you dork it's called deflecting the blame and it's works mad

Our latest ASB officer has been fantastic,  we called her the other day to report yet more late night noise and she said would act on it, she also said to expect counter claims from NFH .  Only pity is the ASB officer does not make the decisions

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

My nn sounds like he got his tenancy by claiming to live with some one but he lived alone.  He sublet for four months but has wriggled out of that, had a tenancy warning for antisocial noise and behaviour with his friends, they have closed the case.  Mind boggles

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Dawn,

I feel guilty now for whinging.....what else can you do to help yourself....

How can they close the case when it continues ????

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Oh pandora don't feel guilty about anything, you probably like me get angry, frudtrated, tearful and I was having a moan here the other day myself.  I think we'd all go crazy if we didn't.
smile
Emailed two mps, trying to see if shelter can become an advocate.  No other course of action left available. Recording the noise ourselves again.

My nurse been ringing round everywhere, even she it's just chasing phones to be told, nothing else we can do
am sat here with camcorder going as we speak

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

we did have a lady who found shelter to be marvellous.....another lady did not find them so.

The facts remain that your home is adapted to your needs. You have a network of support in your location.

could discrimination be used for your NEED to remain and NN moved.....rather than you be moved....which CAN be done..........

when we don't shut up so we may be ignored.....tis amazing what actually can be done.....as I am discovering.....

my friends fears and feelings on here is that I don't jump at the first opportunity out of hell roll

I regret I do not cry anymore.....crying is release hmm

Hi everyone,

I responded to the letter i received on friday stating i was still not happy and i am going to take case to ombudsmun.  Yesterday i was told the ha will pay for carpets for the above tenant.  I was then told not to keep reporting the noise that goes on everynight until the early hours as they are sticking to thd recordings and totally classing it as living noise.  They dont want their officers tied up with it apparently.  The other tenant has refused mediation, i had agreed despite what he and the ha had put me through for eight months.  He is upset because he feels like he is being scrutinised.  The effects of living underneath him have nearly put me in hospital but that doesnt seem to matter,

Today i had a good hour of loud voices and blaring music so i called the wardens, same old story he turned if down as they got here and i got made to feel an idiot again.  I am now feeling more vulnerable than ever because if they wont sccept the noise reports where does that leave me.  I can only ring if its really antisocial.  I consider getting no sleep for nearly eight months antisocial, it seems like thry are giving him a free reign.

Sounds like we are with the same association..which one are u with? hmm

Re: When is antisocial behaviour classed as antisocial behaviour

Eh finally got back in touch, he mentioned the two lots of re ording equip, I said not a clear representation of 8mths of hell.  Told them I want the housing health safety rating , and if they don't consider  noise every night from 11pm as antisocial I want my bedroom sounproofing. Also told them after the bad fall at weekend this can't go and I shouldn't have to live like this and neither should anyone else.......I wait to see what happens smile
