Not sure Pandora007. They have certainly been warned about their noise by the letting agent. But to be honest I do not think they care (the tenants that is). When my Husband complained about them the last time ( New Years w/end not NY eve - after noise going on from 11pm to 2.30am) the guy who lived there responded with 'f*** off, I pay my rent'
As I mentioned i'm sure they were not aware the first night we had the equipment in we had 3 hours of it.

A bit despondent now. The chap came to collect the machine (I thought we may have the option to keep it longer) He said the will analyze the data and let me know the results. Then he began the speach about talking etc being 'ordinary noise' not like music etc. Plus the thin wall argument (I never mentioned this to him and remained non commital at that point) Thats as maybe but in 15 years we have never heard anyone like him. We've had less noise from families living there. He mentioned the nn letting agent again and maybe passing it to the anti-social behavior team as its just talking - (yes but loud and shouting and hollering) we shall see.
Our point of this exercise was to record our displeasure more than anything else as the letting agent couldnt(?) take it any further. And if things are not taken further we shall continue to do so.

Hello there, I was very happy to find this forum as I am having the same problem with my neighbours now. I was relieved to read that I am not alone. I am living with my 2 children and after a recent separation from my partner this noisy neighbours problem started. I do beleive it's deliberate. They now have friends renting in the other street not far from us, so every weekend seems to be a get together party in their house until early hours of the morning. The music is very loud often starts at 8pm, then goes on til midnight or 1..last saturday was at 3am. They often stay out in the garden until silly o'clock and my daughter whose room is right above has not used her room for months. My doctors have prescribed me with anxiety tablets and it's just a help, I know that I fear what these people can do to our family. They are aggressive (latvian origin) and non-cooperative. I called the nuisance team last saturday gone because the music was so loud we couldnt hear our t.v. and my daughter herself was getting anxious and having panic attacks like myself. The nuisance couldn't come because of the snow. In the morning I went to work at 4am without any sleep, and my noisy neighbours were infront of the house still carrying a bottle of beer! They watched me as I cleared my car, talking in their own language and being laughing!...I prayed for my safety and my heart was pounding soo nervous with fear. They are renting and I beleive they moved in June of last year. I made contact with the council to make the complaint and as you said they send you the form that we fill up for 3 weeks and they take it from there. I also paid £30 pound to get the landlords name from the land registry office and then £18 for the electoral vote to find out where the landlord lives. I was thinking of going to see the landlord and explain the problem. I dont think the council will do as much and I feel this people 5 big guys, can do a lot of damage to us if the complaint is put tru. I am scared and fear what the consequences of my action will take my family but I do know they don't have any respect. We no longer enjoy our home, we fear being in it. I will be interested to know what the council will do for us.

Hi jim073 and welcome. I am quite new here too. As you probably gathered we are nearly into round 2 of having recording equipment put in. Although we are affected daily by our nn noise and on occasion alot more often I appreciate that our tales of woe are nothing compared to some on here (including yours jim073). I am so thankful to have found this place to.
