i currently have just had recording equipment installed for the second time.  The first time was through environmental health who had to send out notification letters.

I am a tenant of a housing association but after months of no help and many hours on the phone i found out the city council's antisocial team could help.

They were able to install the equipment without notifiying the tenant and they can keep it in for longer.

Just thought it may help others to know
