After enduring months of night noise when any sane person would be tucked up in bed we decided to call the Enviromental health people. This was after midnight when next doors dance music was blearing out. Bare in mind the previous owners had the same problem and tried to approach them in a civil matter only to be told to 'f' off and had the police called on THEM! We decided not to try this tactic as obviously they cannot be reasoned with.

Today they were served with an warning notice. I know this as he next door came knocking and basically said if you have a problem to ring him and tell him to turn his music down.

Right ok so I have to get the phone and be all nicey nicey at 2am in the morning to tell him to turn it down? So for how long could this go on if he decides to play his rubbish again tonight, then tomorrow and the day after. This is no solution.

He also stated that the "council is not the way to go, believe me."

I took that as a treat as saying don't phone them again or else.

And there was me expecting an apology.

So our action will be as follows, if he continues we get the council back out. If he makes threats again, we get the police out as well... simple!

My advice is to do things by the book, as soon as you take things upon yourself is when it could get nasty as the previous owners found out.
