Re: To change Life for the better....sign our Petitions to Parliament...

Yup, I put it on facebook.  Quite a few people I know have gone through similar.  Plus, some of them are going to tell some of their friends about it.

Re: To change Life for the better....sign our Petitions to Parliament...

Thnx, the best chance we have of getting anywhere near the votes we need is to get the message spread as widely as possible. So if we can all get some of our friends to not only sign, but spread the word via their twitter/facebook accounts. And then get their friends to do the same and so on hopefully we will notice an increase in votes?

Re: To change Life for the better....sign our Petitions to Parliament...

I still think we should have some example short stories of what people have gone through as examples, with the link at the bottom so people can really understand what this hell is like, and illustrate just how bloody useless councils are etc.

Re: To change Life for the better....sign our Petitions to Parliament...

Absolutely spot on! I hope it can make a difference. Its about time that Housing Associations stopped ignoring this problem. Mine simply does not care, even though there are rules to say no laminate in upstairs flats they do not enforce it.
I moved from a 1st floor flat with noisy (laminated!) downstairs neighbour to a groundfloor with a noisy upstairs neighbour. As the HA only give you ten minutes to decide if you want the property you don't have a chance of finding out about neighbours. If I had known that upstairs had wood floors I would not have accepted this flat.
It is completely selfish and inconsiderate behaviour that makes our lives hell and it seems very wrong that local authorities and HAs can get away with treating tenants as if we live there free and should be grateful for what we have. I work and pay my rent and try to be considerate of my neighbours but get none back. Imagine if we could all unite to apply pressure to the HAs and MAKE THEM LISTEN! That would be something they could not ignore.
I am glad to see that I am not alone, I was starting to think I was just a grumpy old woman!

Re: To change Life for the better....sign our Petitions to Parliament...

It is going to take a lot to get the 100k signatures on these.

I signed them all a few days ago and have just got a mate to sign them too.

Also, I am going to be spreading these around the net where I can.
