I just discovered this site and I am glad to learn that I am not suffering alone.  I am a female and I live alone and bought  my 3 bed terrace house 5 years ago.  At the beginning I loved my house and spent my hard earned cash on it.  Then a polish family moved in next door.  They are renting the property and it is falling down around them.  At the start they were quiet.  However, last summer they began to have parties every weekend.  These parties gradually got  nosier and nosier with loud polish music blaring out all over the street.  They have now begun to open all their windows while these parties are going on.  A lot of old people live in this street and they do not come out.  They are also very noisy during the day and sound like a herd of elephants running through the house, banging doors and shouting etc.  They are just wild without any manners and have no consideration for anyone.  At times while all the noise was going on i felt like going out and wrecking their car , but I did not as  I would be the one to get into trouble for this, so I I now get out of my house as much as I can.    I try to visit friends, go into town etc.  I dread the good weather as they go completely mad.  I am trying to sell my house because of them, but without much luck.  Houses in this area are at a standstill.  I live in hope.  If I ever manage to get my house sold, I will have to rent as I am retired and cannot afford an increase in my mortgage.  In the meantime I am going to shop around for a good pair of headphones which I can wear in bed at night while I listen to soft music.  I am already thinking of places I can visit etc during the summer to get away from them.
