Chris, it's affecting your quality of life, so it's worth doing something about, and it can't be good for your children, either! Have you asked your neighbours if they could quieten it down? They may not realise how loud it is in your home. It's a place to start. If that doesn't work, then there is a procedure to go through. If you are sure that the letting is illegal, then contact the housing association, and let them know what's happening. At the same time, you can mention the music.
if its making you depressed take it further,
you dont want to feel that way with two small children, you must stay happy for them.
there are people out there who can help you.
good luck.
Hi i am 23 and have 2 small children aged 3 and 1, i live in a housing association property and i recently had to move as my neighbour had mental health problems and would harrass me and play load music for 16 hrs a day. I moved 3 months ago and although our neighbours are better here they are still load they play load dance music most of the day and play it in the evenings at weekends although it does stop by 9pm. I no my situation is not as bad as most peoples on here but as i am a stay at home mum i have to listen to it all day long and it makes me really depressed. Should i ignore it because i am making something of nothing or should i take things further? They are living in the property illegaly as its a housing association property and the tenant is subletting it to the people living there at the mo they are his family members.
